What is PVDF Coating?
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) Coating is a premium fluoropolymer-based aluminum coating solution engineered for projects that demand extreme durability, long-term performance, and superior weatherability. This coating belongs to the family of fluorocarbon polymers, renowned globally for exceptional thermal stability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions. PVDF coatings use Kynar & Tynar resin systems from leading suppliers like PPG and Asian Paints.
PVDF coatings deliver excellent resistance against UV exposure, humidity, acid rain, coastal salt environments, and chemical pollutants, ensuring exceptional gloss retention, color stability, and surface protection for decades. Available in matt finish for architectural projects.
PVDF is applied as a two-coat or three-coat system. The first coat is a yellow primer coat for adhesion. The second coat is the top/color coat. For three-coat systems, a clear coat is added for enhanced protection and gloss. Curing is done at 240–260°C for optimal performance.
